Location & Way to Harappa
Harappa is in Sahiwal, a district of province Punjab in Pakistan. However, it is 24 kilometres away from Sahiwal city in the West. The famous River Ravi also run at a distance of 8 kilometres from Harappa. Moreover, from Lahore the capital of the province of Punjab, it is 198 kilometres away.
You can easily go to Harappa by using public transport. From Sahiwal, it will take just half an hour to reach there. However, from Lahore, it will take three and a half hours. But if you book a taxi then it will take less time.
Things to See in Harappa Indus Valley Civilization
Harappa is one of the oldest cities in the world. Moreover, it was the modern city of that era. Now you can see here the ruins of Bronze age fortified city. Clay bricks were used to build this city and you can see that bricks there. This urban city used to have surplus agriculture production. So, the people made very unique-styled buildings to store the grains. You can see here some very uncommon buildings here. There is a museum also in Harappa which has a large number of antiques.

The site remains open all days of the week. However, the timing for tourists to visit the site is 08:30 am to 05:30 pm
