Location and Brief History
Mohenjo Daro is in Larkana city of Province Sindh in Pakistan. Moreover, it is in a central position between the Indus River and the Ghaggar Hakra River. The site is in the west of the Indus River and 17 kilometres away from Larkana city.

In a historical context, Mohenjo Daro came into being in 26th century BCE. It was the largest city of its era and also the most modern city of that time.
