Location and Brief History

Pakistan Monument is in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Moreover, it is on the western Shakarparian Hills. From central Islamabad, it is 6 kilometres away. However, it will take just 9 minutes to reach there.

The monument is a national heritage of Pakistan. This is dedicated to the martyrs of Pakistan. The people who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation. The construction of the monument started in 2004 and completed in 2006. However, Pakistan opened this on 23rd March 2007. 23rd March is a historic day for Pakistan and is observed as Pakistan’s Day.

Attractions of Pakistan Monument Islamabad

The first attraction of the monument is its architecture and design. The monument is a modern-day Mughal architecture. The entire design and its style are on the basis of the Mughal Era style. The total area of this petal shape building is approx 7 acres. It is very similar to traditional muqarnas of Mughal architecture. The petal shape structure shows the unity of Pakistan. It has four large petals and each petal represents each province of the country. However, three small petals represent the minorities, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Moreover, there is a wax museum which depicts important events of Pakistan Movement.

Furthermore, there is a reference library, audio-visual archive and a conference hall. Moreover, average visitors of Pakistan monument are 1500 per day.

Timing and Ticket prices to Visit Monument Museum

The timing od the museum is from 10:00 am to 07:00 pm. Moreover, On Monday it remains closed full day. The ticket price is very minimum and it costs less than $1 for an adult.
